Wolseley Visitors Centre and Nature Reserve

Record Associates have recently been appointed as project manager for the development of a new visitors centre and external areas on behalf of Staffordshire Wildlife Trust.

The project will entail the creation of a new reception, shop and 60 cover Kingfisher café and restaurant overlooking the nature reserve.  Externally the car park will be upgraded and new board walks added to improve the visitor experience and encourage visitors to use the enhanced facilities.

“The project is really exciting for Staffordshire Wildlife Trust who are keen to generate new income and promote the great work they do. The development will be undertaken on a live operational site so it is vital that the works are undertaken safely with the minimum of disruption to the Trust’s day to day activities.  The works will therefore be undertaken in a number of phases to ensure business continuity throughout. Crucially, the phases will be structured so as to provide best value for money” says Julian Record who is the Project Manager for the Trust.

The programme for completion of the works is Spring 2019.  The budget remains confidential at this stage.
