We are proud to have sponsored Harriet, a young student who has been undertaking volunteer work in Peru with Camps International which have hosted a 4 week school trip to Peru, part of which involved building toilets and school improvements for remote communities in the Andes.
As part of Harriet’s fundraising she and a friend swam the distance of the English channel over a weekend in three different pools, hosted a Peruvian curry quiz for 120 people and made cakes every weekend for 6 months amongst other things.
In total Harriet managed to raise in excess of £3,000, which is an impressive achievement given that she had also been studying for her GCSE’s.
